Nibelheim Walkthrough
| 1 | Once you’re off the truck a battle will immediately start. A couple of Disgorgon will be easy work for Sephiroth. |

| 2 | A cutscene will play. Once it ends, you’ll arrive in Nibelheim. As Cloud, head to The Old Water Tower. This will trigger the first flashback. |
| 3 | Head over to the Strife Residence and choose to tell the party about your visit. This triggers another flashback. |
| 3 | Next, go to the Lockhart Residence. Head to Tifa’s Room and interact with the piano to try out a basic Piano minigame. |
| 4 | Finally, head to the Nidhogg Inn. Speak to the Mysterious Man on the 1st Floor. |
| 5 | Head up to the 2nd Floor to speak to Sephiroth. This will trigger another cutscene. |
| 6 | Once you meet Tifa, follow her lead until you encounter a group of Insectoid Chimera. Defeat them to complete this first part of Chapter 1: Fall of a Hero. |
Next up, you will get the option to skip the Mako Reactor investigation if you played the demo.
For players who completed the first part of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo, the option to skip the Mako Reactor investigation will pop up after you defeat the Insectoid Chimeras. Skipping advances you to the Shinra Manor segment where you have to find Sephiroth inside.

Sephiroth’s Whereabouts Walkthrough
| 1 | After the cutscene, you’ll be in the Nidhogg Hotel in Nibelheim. Go to the 1st Floor and talk to Mayor Zander. |

| 2 | Head outside and follow the crowd to Shinra Manor. |
| 3 | Immediately upon entering Shinra Manor, turn left and head into the elevator. Go down to the Basement of the manor. |
| 4 | As you exit the elevator you’ll be in the Underground Cavern. Head north and approach Sephiroth and a cutscene will play. |
| 5 | After the cutscene, you be outside the manor as everything bursts in flames. Head back to the village. |
| 6 | Follow the path through the wreckage and turn left. This path will be blocked, so you’ll have to turn around and head down the other available path. |
| 7 | Enter the house ahead. |
| 8 | Pass through the small opening. This will lead you back to the water tower. |
| 9 | Go to the Strife Residence. |
| 10 | Another cutscene will play. Once it ends, hold the L2 and R2 buttons as prompted to crawl towards Sephiroth. |
Tifa Comes Calling Walkthrough

| 1 | After the cutscene finishes, head out of the room to Tifa. |
| 2 | Follow Tifa to the roof of the inn. |
| 3 | After the cutscene, continue to the roof and talk to Tifa. The pair will argue, then return to your room and speak with Barret. |
