Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth features a piano playing minigame that has already become very popular. Featured in the first Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo, the minigame takes on a new form in the final release version of the game. Now, it’s not just a little distraction. There are rewards for successful completion! The piano minigame first becomes available in Chapter 1: Fall of a Hero. However, this is essentially just an option to practice ahead of the real deal later in the game. Instead, it’s in Chapter 6: Fool’s Paradise where you can actually earn rewards.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Piano Minigame Guide
You can find Tifa’s piano inside the Lockhart Residence during Chapter 1: Fall of a Hero. You must first finish the Explore Nibleheim objective.
Enter the Lockhart Residence and head up the stairs. Turn right and enter Tifa’s room at the far end. You’ll find the piano next to her bed.
As stated above, the actual piano minigame is not available at this point and there no rewards given for playing the piano.
How to Play Piano Minigame
The piano minigame becomes playable in earnest in Chapter 6: Fool’s Paradise. Once you reach Costa del Sol, while playing as Tifa, look for Dorian inside The Royal Coast to activate the minigame.
You can only play Tifa’s Theme at this point in the story. However, progress further to find new Sheet Music, then return to The Royal Coast to engage with the piano minigame.
