If you’re looking for a new co-op-friendly, physics-based platforming adventure, then keep an eye out for Surmount. A collaborative effort between Jasper Oprel and Indiana-Jonas, Surmount is set to swing onto Nintendo Switch and Steam this May.
Experience the joys of mountain climbing by making a perilous ascent up Mount Om. Playable solo or with a friend, carefully jump and swing your way up to the top. Navigate procedurally generated environmental challenges “while following a silly story with eccentric folks along the way.”
Surmount Gameplay
To have a chance of getting to the top of Mount Om players will have to upgrade and customize their climber. The studio reveals that the game should take around 5-10 hours to complete. All depending on how many side missions players get stuck into.
For Nintendo Switch owners they’ll be able to play in local co-op. Whereas Steam Deck owners can enjoy the game running at a smooth 60 fps.
