Pokémon Legends: Arceus plays host to many popular Pokémon. Of course, Pikachu is included! However, it won’t be the first Pokémon you encounter, so here’s a guide on where to find Pikachu!
If you’ve begun your Pokémon Legends: Arceus quest you’ll already have chosen your starter Pokémon. However, before attempting to catch your first Pikachu you may wish to organise your items. Ensure you can carry more balls with Chit Hot’s guide on how to increase your satchel size!
Where to Find Pikachu
There are wild Pikachu located in the Obsidian Fieldlands. This location is east of Nature’s Pantry, and southeast of Deertrack Heights nearby the water. There are multiple trees and fields where your desired Pikachu will be hanging out around. Also in the same location you should see Paras roaming about. This will let you know you’re on the right track!
How to Catch Pikachu
Once at Obsidian Fieldlands, you’ll soon discover that Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an aggressive type. They will immediately want to start a battle with you. You may even find an ‘alpha type’. This will be demonstrated by red glaring eyes and a slightly a bigger form.
To improve your chances of catching a Pikachu try to use a Pokémon that can make the Pikachu go asleep. Moves like ‘Sleep Powder’ or ‘Hypnosis’ work best. Once you’re in battle, use this attack and then try to weaken it with a relatively low-powered move like ‘Quick Attack’. Keep attacking until the bar goes red. Once close to fainting, throw a Pokéball.
You may wish to dive straight into evolving your Pikachu into a Raichu. Be warned though, it’s not as simple as you may imagine!
