We’re already halfway through 2020! The summer months are normally a quieter time for new game releases. This year however, we have more than a few blockbusters this season. Read on for Chit Hot’s pick of the biggest new games of June.
New Games in June
There’s more than a dozen launches for new games in June 2020. Chit Hot has whittled down the list to the seven biggest titles that should be getting your attention (or your hard earned money!). Read on to find out our top picks across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The Wonderful 101 Remastered
A revamp of the Nintendo Wii U cult classic. The Wonderful 101 Remastered has benefited from an early adopter Kickstarter campaign. If you weren’t part of the crowdfunding effort however, you can pick up The Wonderful 101 Remastered on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch from 30th June 2020. Note that some territories are receiving the game a little later, set for an early July release.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath
An underappreciated first-person shooter set in the universe of Oddworld. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath debuted on Xbox back in 2005. The game has since been released on a number of formats, including PlayStation 3 and Vita. The Nintendo Switch edition of the game launches at retail stores today, and is well worth picking up.
Desperados III
In the Desperados series you take control of a band of unlikely heroes and heroines. Each has very different skills which you can to infiltrate, spy, sabotage, elude, steal, abduct, deviate, assassinate, blow stuff up. Players must plan their moves wisely in real-time to sneak past your enemies while remaining undetected. Desperados III comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on 16th June 2020.
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection
Kinda sorta kinda not a new game release. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection includes the original Mortal Kombat 11, the recently released Aftermath expansion and all previous DLC. Not a bad bundle then, especially given it comes at the normal retail price. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 16th June 2020.
Burnout Paradise Remastered
The fourth titles in the Burnout series divided opinion at launch. It’s took the tight point-to-point races of the originals and plopped them into an open world setting. Now, Nintendo Switch owners will get to decided for themselves if the change was for the better. Burnout Paradise Remastered launches on 19th June 2020.
Little Town Hero
From the creators of Pokémon comes a brand new adventure. Players will become the young, budding hero, Axe, as he rises up to defend his home. Gaining support of fellow villagers, he will uncover the truth behind the giant monster attacks. With the unique “Ideas” combat system you can defend against enemies, plan your attacks, and adapt on the fly without needing to grind. Little Town Hero launches on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 23rd June 2020.
