The first collection of new tracks for Mario Kart 8: Deluxe has officially launched! Known as the Booster Course Pass, a total of 48 new tracks will made available, beginning with eight in today’s first wave.
The first of six waves, the Booster Course Pass will add new tracks gradually between now and the end of 2023. Not all of the tracks have yet been revealed, but we now know the full contents of the first wave. The eight new tracks will be divided into two new cups.

- Toad Circuit (Mario Kart 7)
- Choco Mountain (Mario Kart 64)

Lucky Cat Cup
- Tokyo Blur (Mario Kart Tour)
- Shroom Ridge (Mario Kart DS)
- Sky Garden (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)
- Ninja Hideaway (Mario Kart Tour)
There are multiple ways to get access to the new tracks. Firstly, you can buy the Booster Course Pass for a one-off fee of £22.49. Secondly, you can purchase a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass subscription and receive the Mario Kart 8: Deluxe DLC as part of your subscription. Thirdly, it’s possible to play the new Mario Kart 8: Deluxe tracks without even purchasing them!
Subsequent waves from the Booster Course Pack will be added in due course. However, at this time we have no confirmed dates. We also have little information about which additional tracks will be made available. However, we do know they’ll be a mix of classic Mario Kart tracks and brand new additions.
In other recent Mario news, 10th March is known as Mario Day (Mar10, geddit?) and a new LEGO Mario set was revealed to celebrate the day.
