A new Limited Research is coming to Pokémon Go this weekend, featuring the ‘revolving Pokémon’. The Inkay Limited Research will be available from 11am to 2pm (local time) on Saturday, 3rd September, 2022. The event is free to all players, and even offers the debut of a Shiny variant of Inkay.
As we head into September and the ‘Season of Light’, we’re expecting a lot of new Pokemon Go events to be added to the calendar. First up is the Inkay Limited Research. Players can celebrate this very special Psychic-type Pokémon with a brand new series of tasks available to all.
Although it’s not strictly a Community Day, it appears as though the Inkay Limited Research day will function very similarly. There’s a three-hour window in which to play the game to obtain and complete the tasks, and Inkay will be much more common in the wild. Furthermore, the Shiny rates for the new Inkay Shiny variant will be boosted.
Conversely to a typical Community Day however, other Pokémon will also appear more frequently. Many of these will also have boosted Shiny encounter rates. The likes of Alolan Rattata, Murkrow, Houndour, Poochyena and Sableye will see boosted spawn rates. Additionally, last month’s Community Day feature – Galarian Zigzagoon – will also be boosted.
