Cal Kestis is back in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Following 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Respawn Entertainment’s sequel promises to deliver a third-person action-adventure game that spans a galaxy both familiar and new. This narratively driven single-player adventure follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight to protect the galaxy from descending into darkness. And following 2022’s Game Awards reveal, we have new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor story details.
The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor story sees Cal pushed further to the outskirts of the galaxy by the Empire. The game picks up five years after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. No longer a Padawan, Cal has grown as a Jedi. He’s managed to evade the Empire as they pursue him at every turn. With BD-1 by his side, Cal will join forces with new allies to aid him on his quest. Revealed so far are the mercenary Bode Akuna and former crew member Cere Junda.
Players will see Cal blessed with fresh equipment and abilities. In the official trailer for the game we see a grappling hook, as well as mounts that can take him to places he could never reach before. New combat stances allow players to forge their own identity are also being introduced. To much appreciation from Star Wars fans, these include dual lightsabers. Lightning-fast fighting and the crossguard stance will surely become favourites.
If you haven’t yet played Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play members can catch up on Cal’s previous adventures now. What’s more, you can get all the Deluxe Edition content as a perk from today, 9th December, 2022, through 20th January 2023.
