Looking for something new for a decade old console? Of course you are. Well, eastasiasoft feel your pain, and have announced that Habroxia 2 will get a PlayStation Vita release alongside PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC next month.
Habroxia 2 is an old-school space shooter with upgrades, boss fights, and a New Game+ mode. The game is designed for non-linear progression, giving players options as to how they tackle the challenges ahead of them. All of this is wrapped in a retro package combining pixel graphics, chiptunes and stellar gameplay.
Set in the aftermath of a brutal attack on Free Space, humanity sends scout ships to the star system that was at the source of the assault. But when one of the pilots doesn’t return home, it’s up to his daughter, the talented starpilot Sabrina, to find him.
Habroxia 2 features a revamped twin-stick control scheme to tackle the many challenging boss battles, as well as a customisable ship upgrade system. Check out the latest trailer below.
eastasiasoft will publish Lillymo Games’ next entry in their retro shoot ’em up series on PlayStation 4 and Vita in Asia as digital & physical editions. The game will also launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Steam as a digital edition on 3rd February 2021.
