UK studio FuturLab has announced that its surprise indie hit, PowerWash Simulator, has reached a huge seven million players. The game has doubled its player count in the last six months.
PowerWash Simulator has been designed as a relaxing game experience. Players can build up their business in Career Mode as they complete a variety of dirty jobs across the dusty town of Muckingham. Get to know more about your clientele and the locations you visit through text messages while you clean. Take things at your own pace, and aim for that perfect clean. There’s no right or wrong. No time pressure or final score. Just you and the tools you need to soak away your stress.
Since launch, PowerWash Simulator has benefitted from a number of free DLC packs. Tomb Raider‘s Croft Manor and the city of Midgar from Final Fantasy VII have both attracted attention from fans.
PowerWash Simulator Surpasses 7 Million Players
Kirsty Rigden, Co-CEO, FuturLab said: “With over 7 million players, we are honoured that so many people have found their zen with PowerWash Simulator. The strength in our community is palpable. Since we launched into Early Access, the support for our soothing sim has been immense, and we are extremely grateful that this has continued to strengthen past release.”
This news comes alongside FuturLab’s most recent appointment; industry veteran Steve Tinkler who will be taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer at the studio. Steve has a background of working with fast growing entrepreneurial businesses, with previous roles including Director within Epic’s Strategic Finance team and CFO at Mediatonic, where he supported the business through the breakout success of Fall Guys.
PowerWash Simulator is available both digitally and as a physical retail product. The game has also benefitted from being available as part of the Game Pass subscription service for Xbox consoles.
