Coming out of nowhere, Angry Demon Studio’s Gori: Cuddly Carnage has raced to the top of Chit Hot’s ‘most wanted’ list. The game was originally revealed back in April 2022, to little fanfare. However, an upcoming showcase and a reveal of new gameplay details have firmly cemented the game as ‘one to watch’.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage features a reluctant feline hero and his foul-mouthed death-dealing hoverboard, F.R.A.N.K. Together, they can slice and dice their way through hordes of zombie-like, mutated toys. And look cute while doing it. The game is designed as a gory brawler experience, with more than a few parallels to 101 Industries’ Wanted: Dead.

The game features fast-paced melee combat and long-range projectiles. Players will have to mix them up to gain the advantage, and attempt to achieve a high rank for each combat sequence, similar to Devil May Cry. What’s different here is the platforming sections. Yet again delivered at a high-speed, players must make use of F.R.A.N.K. to navigate pathways high above the city streets.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage Brings the Gore

Gori: Cuddly Carnage is an ultra-violent game, set in a futuristic neon world. According to publisher Wired Productions, the game “is jam-packed with vivid and immersive environments”. The levels have been designed specifically so the player can perform brutal acrobatics in their combat sequences. The game is filled with high-speed action and excessive bloodshed. If that’s your kind of thing, this is a game that should definitely be on your radar.

Wired Productions will publicly showcase the game during The Mix ‘Guerilla Collective’ Showcase. What’s more, players can get hands-on with fast-paced combat in a brand-new Gori: Cuddly Carnage demo available on Steam now. Wired Productions are also showcasing the evolving demo for the chilled city-builder, Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, which is also available to play right away.

Both demos also available to play in-person at The Mix Los Angeles Onsite Showcase, which takes place on 8th June at Wisdome, 1147 Palmetto St., LA, CA 90013. The showcase will be attended by developers of both games.
