Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is arguably one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2024. And while it was already announced that the game would launch early next year, and new leak has offered a precise date. And it seems that the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth release date may be sooner than many expected.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second entry in the Final Fantasy VII remake project (not counting Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade as a separate entity). It retells the story of the iconic fantasy game that redefined the RPG genre, split across three distinct games.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Series
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth picks up from Final Fantasy VII Remake with iconic heroes Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith and Red XIII. After they escape from the dystopian city Midgar, we see them embark on a journey in pursuit of Sephiroth. The antagonist of the series, Sephiroth is a vengeful swordsman from Cloud’s past who was thought to be dead.
Despite being the continuation of the story, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth can be played as a standalone adventure. Players will explore an expansive world, all brought to life with a new level of graphical fidelity. As players unravel a narrative rich with mysteries to uncover, they will also witness the personal journey of each party member and strengthen their bonds to work together and face off against powerful enemies.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Release Date Leak
As stated above, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth had already been confirmed for release in early 2024. However, a new leak suggests that the date has been set for 31st January, 2024. This is a Wednesday, which isn’t entirely unusual.
The release date leak come from Zuby_Tech and 0AOXO, personalities on Twitter who have both stated the same date. However, neither has any evidence to back up their claims. So while it’s entirely feasible that this date may be correct, take it with a pinch of salt until we here from publisher Square Enix directly.
