Croteam’s original The Talos Principle was a huge hit for the studio back in 2014. Players loved its gorgeous visuals and complicated puzzles. With a sequel years in the making, the wait for The Talos Principle II is almost over. A multiplatform launch has been set for November.
As you’d expect from a highly anticipated sequel, The Talos Principle II greatly expands on the beloved original. There will be more mind-bending puzzles to solve, new puzzle mechanics, a richer storyline, and more secrets to uncover. “The biggest, weirdest world Croteam has ever built,” states the studio.

The Talos Principle returns
“Set in a distant future where humankind has long been extinct, human culture lives on through interminable robots made in our image,” the synopsis explains. “Embarking on a quest to investigate a mysterious megastructure, you will be confronted with questions about the nature of the cosmos, faith versus reason, and the fear of repeating humankind’s mistakes.”
If you’ve played the original – who hasn’t? – then you’ll be familiar with a few of the puzzle designs. These are accompanied by unique new gameplay including mind transference and gravity manipulation. Whilst you’re playing with those, you’ll also encounter a character-driven story with multiple endings to unlock. All of this takes place within the stunningly beautiful environments the franchise is known for, city taken over by nature.
You can buy The Talos Principle II from 2nd November 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. On Steam, you can pre-order the game with a 10% discount.
You may also be aware of Croteam’s other projects including the likes of Serious Sam 3: BFE and Serious Sam II.
