Double Dragon is a franchise with many ups-and-downs. However, the recently released Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons has renewed faith the the series. So much so, that a brand new Double Dragon Collection is on the way. Originally set for release on Nintendo Switch, gamers on PlayStation and Xbox consoles will now also have the opportunity to relive these retro-brawlers.

The Double Dragon Collection is a compendium of six games from the long-running series. The original 1987 release is accompanied by Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones and Double Dragon IV. What’s more, the long-awaited Double Dragon Advance and Super Double Dragon are making a double comeback. After 20 years, the first official ports for both games will be making their way to modern consoles.

For over three decades, both Double Dragon Advance and Super Double Dragon have been hailed as the epitome of the Double Dragon series. However, neither title has previously benefitted from ports outside of their original consoles. That is, until now!
