In the fight for subscribers streaming services are reviving decades-old films for modern audiences. Netflix is set to release Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget in December. Whilst later this month Paramount+ is bringing back the ’90s comedy Good Burger. Starring Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson once again, the latest Good Burger 2 trailer has now arrived.

The 1997 original saw Mitchell and Thompson working at the titular burger joint, getting into all manner of hijinks. Good Burger 2 continues the same format, with the duo reuniting to save their beloved Good Burger over 25 years later.

This time around, the guys have to deal with Good Burger’s parent company MegaCorp who wants to expand the brand. As you’ll see in the new trailer, the company plans on doing this in a high-tech fashion, firing all the human workers so robots can be installed. “MegaCorp wants to replace everybody with robots,” Thompson warns. “We gotta do something!”

The same chaos ensues with airborne food and drinks commonplace. Directed by Phil Traill, Good Burger 2 sees Jillian Bell, Shar Jackson, Lil Rel Howery, Josh Server and Carmen Electra co-star alongside Mitchell and Thompson. Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who co-wrote the first film serve as writers and executive producers on the sequel.

The pair first found fame as child actors on All That during the early ’90s. It was during that series that the original ‘Good Burger’ sketch came about. Nickelodeon went onto air spinoff series Kenan & Kel until 2000. Then in 2022, the pair reunited for a Kenan & Kel sketch on Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Good Burger 2 hits Paramount+ on 22nd November 2023.
