It seems like there’s gaming news from the world of Warhammer everyday at present. Only yesterday Chit Hot reported on the release of a Warhammer 40K DLC pack for PowerWash Simulator. Today, it’s the turn of Warhammer 40K: Dakka Squadron, which has been confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch.
Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron is an aerial shooter from the well-known franchise. This time, players will control a commander pilot of a fighter plane. Or rather, a Dakkajet. Dynamic action of mid-air fights meet precise strikes of grounded targets. Players can choose from five available Ork clans, each with their own unique bonuses. These clans don’t really get along, so it’s all-out Ork vs. Ork warfare on the table.

During the campaign, players will be able to unlock and assign new ship models, weapons, and look over the stats of their plane. As well as the technical customisation, there are also plenty of customisation options. Orks don’t care too much about camouflage. Who wouldn’t like to be called “The Pink Blight” on the battlefield?
Once the commander has been deployed, their assigned missions can go from defending a point, to a dogfight. They vary in complexity and length, and many things can change at once while on the battlefield. Explosions, explosions, and even more explosions will be a pretty good indicator of a successful assault.
Warhammer 40K: Dakka Squadron will launch on the Nintendo eShop on 8th March, 2024. The Nintendo Switch edition of the game set to be published by RedDeer.Games. The up-and-coming publisher has seen great success with numerous Switch releases lately, including the likes of nGolf, Project Downfall and Wildagotchi.
The game is currently available for PC, where it has received a very positive response. Will you be taking to the skies on Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
