Softstar Entertainment’s Chinese RPG series Sword and Fairy saw a sequel land in 2022. The studio has announced that Sword and Fairy Inn 2 will now get digital console editions in July. Furthermore, a special physical edition will soon be available for PlayStation 5.
An epic Chinese RPG series
The Sword and Fairy series is a hugely popular franchise that has seven mainline editions in the franchise.
Sword and Fairy Inn 2 is a lighthearted take on the Sword and Fairy world, one that’s comforting and familiar for long-time fans but also welcoming to newcomers.
The life sim spin-off
Sword and Fairy Inn 2 is a restaurant and life management sim with elements of the storied RPG franchise. Players will notice familiar faces as they manage a family restaurant. They’ll travel the world to find legendary kitchenware and trade special food items, grow crops, play mini-games and more.
On the inn management side, players will be able to assign specific roles to each character they meet and recruit. Learning more about each of their companions – their goals, personalities, skills and their often-comical flaws.

Sword and Fairy Inn 2 Physical Edition
The PS5 physical edition will include the game, manual, soundtrack CD, sticker sheets and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. It’ll retail for $39.99 USD and is available to pre-order from Playasia on Thursday, 9th May 2024.
Standard copies will also be available as an open pre-order at $29.99. A digital edition for PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will also be made available in July.
