The Pokémon Company International has announced that Pokémon TCG Live will officially launch around the world on 8th June, 2023. The Pokemon TCG mobile game will be available on iOS and Android. A PC edition will also be released for macOS and Windows devices following the current beta period.
Developed and published by The Pokémon Company International, Pokémon TCG Live allows players to enjoy the Pokémon TCG in an updated digital format. Releasing as a free-to-play game, Pokémon TCG Live offers beginner and veteran players new way to experience the Pokémon TCG, including various gameplay modes, daily quests, customisable avatars and Pokémon TCG accessories. As well as fan-favourite activities like building decks and battling friends.
This isn’t the first time that the Pokemon TCG has been adapted to a mobile game. The first, for the Game Boy Color, was launched in Japan back in 1998. It subsequently came to North America and Europe in 2000, and stayed quite faithful to the rules of the game at the time. It featured 226 cards from the TCG with infrared linking for multiplayer and trading.
