If you’re a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar collector who’s looking forward to the new Dawnbringers Crusades, rejoice! As the first chapter in the new series as well as the new Regiments of Renown are arrive soon. Pre-orders for the new books, miniatures as well as a new General’s Handbook launch this coming weekend.
Games Workshop revealed its new Warhammer Regiments of Renown collection earlier this month. These are comprised of Fjori’s Flamebearers, Phlugoth’s Shudderhood, Jerrion’s Delegation and Braggit’s Bottle-snatchaz.

War Dawns on Age of Sigmar
All of these new regiments feature a leader followed by a selection of fierce warriors. Fjori’s Flamebearers, for example, are led by the Grimehold Exhile Fjori who commands 10 Vulkite Berzerkers, five Hearthguard Berzerkers, and five Auric Hearthguard.
However, the two latter contingents can be built as ten of either. Particularly useful if you don’t want to run this Regiment of Renown in your Order armies. The same goes for all the other Dawnbringers regiments.
Bringing these new regiments to the fore is Dawnbringers Book I – Harbingers. Available in standard and limited edition formats, this first book in the series is a prologue to a tale focused on the Twin-Tailed Crusade. The book is filled with exciting narrative detailing the genesis of the crusade as well as a new Path to Glory battlepack. This is centred around recruiting Harbingers and establishing communication outposts. Furthermore, there are rules for the four new Harbinger heroes and each of the Regiments of Renown that fight alongside them.
If you’re interested in the limited edition only 500 copies will be made. They’ll feature a soft-touch cover, gold foil blocking for the text, and gilt page edges.
Finally, there’s the upcoming General’s Handbook – Pitched Battles 2023-24. Designed to last for a full year of matched play, the handbook contains a brand-new battlepack focusing on the primal magic infusing the wild tundras of Andtor. You’ll find thematic new rules, including bespoke core battalions, grand strategies, battle tactics, and 12 new battleplans.
All of this will be available to pre-order on Saturday, 1st July 2023.
