Multiplay conspiracy Among Us has been a huge hit for developer Innersloth. Available on almost every gaming platform (including VR), Among Us is now going to be made into an animated series by CBS Studios.
As reported by Variety, Innersloth has partnered with CBS Eye Animation Productions, with animation studio Titmouse (Star Trek: Lower Decks, Big Mouth) also on board. Owen Dennis (Infinity Train) will be helming the new show.

Among Us Faithful
According to the report, the Among Us animated series is going to stick with the premise of the game. If you’ve never played it before the entire game takes place on a spaceship. All the players are members of the crew, however, some are not who they appear to be. Some are imposters, aliens hell-bent on killing everyone aboard.
As a crew member not only do you have this threat to deal with, you need to fix the ship. Imposters can sabotage the ship to slow progress or lay a trap for unsuspecting players. It’s then up to anyone remaining to locate who the imposter(s) could be. And then fling them out the airlock. But there’s always a chance of killing one of your fellow crew members.
Originally released back in 2018, Among Us exploded in 2020 during the pandemic. Figures from Google Play show it was number one in 66 countries whilst on iOS it was number one in 55 countries.
This should make for a lot of fun in an animated series. It could also get quite brutal considering the source material. To ensure this is the case, Dennis will be joined by Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth as executive producers.
