2023 is littered with exciting movies to come, with one of the biggest being the second instalment of Dune. The first Dune: Part 2 trailer was initially teased to CinemaCon 2023 attendees back in April. Warner Bros. Pictures has now publically released the Dune: Part Two trailer and it is as epic as you’d expect.

If you’ve read Frank Herbert’s novel on which the film is based then you’ll know the story inside and out. The story centres around the resource-rich planet of Arrakis and the element known as ‘Spice’, which enables interstellar travel. Timothée Chalamet takes on the central role of Paul Atredis, who becomes embroiled in a power struggle after the evil Harkonnen kills his father and seizes control. So he becomes an outlaw, joining a group called the Fremen to help fight back.

Dune: Part Two Trailer

As you’d expect from director Denis Villeneuve, the Dune: Part Two trailer looks suitably gritty and extravagant. As the synopsis explains, the second film: “will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavours to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

Chalamet is joined by an all-star cast. These include Zendaya as Freman Chani (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Rebecca Ferguson as Paul Atredis’ mother Lady Jessica (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning), Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård and Javier Bardem.

Dune: Part Two is coming to theatres worldwide on 3rd November 2023.
