Warhammer’s Age of Sigmar’s armies have been getting a major overhaul in 2023. None more so than the cosmic amphibians of the Seraphon. The new Seraphon battle lineup was detailed in March, with the huge Seraphon Army Set pre-orders going live the following month. But what if you want to begin your journey with these cold-blooded warriors on a smaller scale, the Vanguard: Seraphon boxset has been revealed.
The Vanguard: Seraphon boxset will take the place of the previous Start Collecting! Seraphon set. Like other boxsets such as Vanguard: Kharadron Overlords, Vanguard: Hedonites of Slaanesh, Vanguard: Slaves to Darkness and many more, they all help start you down a particular army path.
Vanguard: Seraphon Boxset
The new Vanguard: Seraphon collection features 14 miniatures from the Seraphon range. Leading the pack is the mighty Saurus Oldblood On Carnosaur. This model can also be built as Saurus Scar-Veteran, or as a Skink Oracle on Troglodon, which can launch corrosive spittle at their foes.
Making up the main battle line are the Saurus Warriors. Made up of ten units, they’re armed with clubs, spears, and their own ferocious jaws to rip enemies apart. Finally, you have the hulking Kroxigor. These three giant beasts pummel adversaries with their melee weapons.
Games Workshop hasn’t yet stated when the Vanguard: Seraphon collection will be available.
Once you’re attuned to your new battle line, then it can be augmented with further units. Consider models like the sorcery-slinging Slann Starmaster or the fast Aggradon Lancers to charge enemies. You can also add an aerial component with some Terradon Riders. Also top of the list should be the new Battletome: Seraphon, giving you access to the lore and unit abilities.
