In the world of Warhammer, we’re all used to blood-soaked battlefields, terrifying monsters from the darkest reaches of space and the excitement of a well-earned win. What the franchise isn’t known for are soft, cuddly, creatures that kids love to squeeze to death. However, Games Workshop has teamed up with TOMY to create a series of Warhammer plushie toys.

Yes, that’s right, some of the most fearsome beasts from across the realms are being made into adorable plushies. International toy company TOMY showcased four cute new plushies as part of the New York Toy Fair 2023, set to arrive later next year.

TOMY and Games Workshop have plushied a Gnasha-squig, a Spanna Grot, a Nurgling (a.k.a. the Little Unclean One), and a Sacrosanct Gryph-hound. These once fearsome inhabitants of Warhammer are now super soft whilst still recognisable with lots of cool little details.

The Little Unclean One looks happy featuring the tiniest stomach prolapse. Gnasha-squig has its tongue ready for a big wet kiss. Whilst the Spanna Grot is ready for action with its spanner. These three will be available in Spring 2024 from the Warhammer online store, certain Warhammer stores and select retailers.

As for the Gryph-hound with its fuzzy neck plumage, that’s due to arrive a little later.

Games Workshop continues expanding the Warhammer franchise beyond miniatures. This announcement comes after the recent Weta Workshop reveal. The renowned statue maker will be creating a series of 1:6 scale premium Warhammer statues. No details have surfaced regarding which models will be scaled up.

Elsewhere, if you’re an Age of Sigmar fan then you’ve probably been enjoying the Warhammer Dawnbringers II campaign.
