Dune: Spice Wars is a unique combination of 4X and real-time strategy set on Arrakis. The game first launched on PC, with a year in Early Access. Today, Dune: Spice Wars debuts on console with the Xbox Series X port available now. Not only that, but the game is also available via Xbox Game Pass.
During its one year of Early Access, Dune: Spice Wars expanded massively through six major updates. These updates added multiple new playable factions and a slew of new features. This is of course in addition to balancing and quality-of-life (QoL) fixes, as well as a myriad of requests from the game’s community.
Now, following the game’s recent PC launch out of Early Access, developer Shiro Games and publisher Funcom are introducing the epic struggle for spice to players on Xbox Series X|S.
Dune: Spice Wars for Xbox Series X|S
Dune: Spice Wars combines the moment-to-moment excitement of RTS games with the long-term planning of 4X games. On Arrakis, the theater of war extends beyond the battlefield. Players can also dominate the flow of spice by mastering Landsraad politics, the economy, and spycraft.
You’ll begin by selecting one of six iconic factions from the Dune universe. These include the infamous houses of Atreides, Harkonnen, or Fremen. Of course, each offers unique strengths. You can play solo or with friends, be they allies or rivals, and discover who the unforgiving deserts of Arrakis claim first.
Dune: Spice Wars comes to Xbox Series X|S today, and joins Xbox Game Pass for subscribers. The game is already available on PC, and is part of the PC Game Pass catalogue also.
