How to Play Palworld Multiplayer

Pocketpair’s Palworld is a survival game that’s made to be enjoyed with friends. However, setting up a multiplayer world can be tricky for those unfamiliar with the game. To fix that, here’s a guide for how to play multiplayer in Palworld.

At present, there are no options to play Palworld multiplayer on a single system. No split-screen option exists in either the PC or Xbox editions of the game. There’s also no suggestion from Pocketpair that such an addition will be made in the future.

Palworld does have online multiplayer that players use to play with friends online. Depending on your chosen version, there are different limitations.

Multiplayer on Xbox

Four player online co-op only.

Multiplayer on PC

Four player online co-op.
32 player official servers.
Dedicated servers (coming soon).

How to Start Multiplayer in Palworld

To host a co-op session for your friends, here’s how to start:

If making a new world, toggle multiplayer “on” after selecting “Create new world”.
If using an existing world, press “Change world settings” before starting your game, and toggle multiplayer on.
Once you’re in your world, open the options menu to find the Invite Code. It will be six digits long.
Share this Invite Code with your friends.

To join a co-op session follow the below steps:

In the main menu there’ll be an option to Join Multiplayer Game (Invite Code).
Select this and enter the Invite Code your friend gave you to join their game.

One thing to note, is that Palworld does not support cross-platform multiplayer. This means that PC players cannot join Xbox player’s worlds, and vice versa. It’s not yet known whether this feature will be added at a later date.
