The PC edition of Slipgate Ironworks’ Graven has been going from strength to strength. After warm Early Access previews, the game launched its full release to a generally positive response. The slower, methodical pace belies the boomer shooter aesthetic of the game. Those who knew what they were getting into found the game resonated with them, despite some flaws. And soon, it’ll be the turn of console gamers to get in on the action, as the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 release of Graven has been confirmed for later this year.
Graven is a dark-fantasy action-adventure FPS. You’ll take on the role as an exiled Priest of the Orthogonal Order as you embark on a mission of vengeance. After witnessing his daughter’s sacrifice at the hands of a colleague-turned-heretic, anger is all you can see. Through divine guidance from The Creator, you must cleanse the Order of its corruption and save the world from the encroaching evils.
Inspired by classic first-person shooters and fantasy RPGs, Graven melds expansive exploration with fast-paced combat and intricate puzzle-solving. Think Hexen crossed with Metroid Prime, and you’re probably not too far out.

Graven Console Release
The PC edition of the game is available now for $24.99 USD. The plans for the console launch of Graven are scant, to say the least. It’s not yet known whether the game will receive a physical release or be digital only. Furthermore, no price point for the console editions has yet been confirmed. All that we do know is that it’s coming later this year.
