Frontier Developments has revealed two new Hero DLCs coming to Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin. These new characters will join the game later this month, alongside a free Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin update for all players.
Kurdoss Valentian, The Craven King, exerts his dire presence over the battlefields of Ghur to silence enemy squads and disrupt the command of foes. The ominous sight of The Craven King’s silently drifting throne in the ranks of the Nighthaunt signifies doom. This heavy-hitting brawler wields the Sepulchral Sceptre to unleash death upon the enemy.
Meanwhile the Gaunt Summoner allows players to embrace the twisted trickery of Tzeentch. You can soon rain devastation from afar, tearing through reality itself to unleash the fury of summoned daemons. Wielding powerful spells and arcane abilities, the Gaunt Summoner reshapes the battlefield to their whims and turning the tide of the conflict in their favour.
As with the previous Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin DLC heroes, both new heroes can be used in AI Skirmish, Multiplayer and the single player Conquest Mode. Players can swap out their default hero units for one of these special characters. This will allow you to tweak your overall strategic approach to the game.
Each Hero DLC will be available separately for a suggested retail price of £3.99 GBP/$4.99 USD/€4.99 EUR, or together as part of a bundle for £6.99/$8.99/€8.99. Both will launch on 20th March, 2024.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Update
As sated above, a new Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin update will launch alongside the new DLC. This will include new multiplayer, skirmish and conquest maps. Further balancing and quality of life enhancements will also be added, including the highly requested squad stances.
The ‘Engage’ stance will allow units to automatically attack units within range, retreating to their position once the enemy has been dispatched. The ‘Hold’ stance fixes units to their position in a more defensive manner, ignoring engagements.
