Warhammer Age of Sigmar’s Stormcast Eternals aren’t known for being a soft bunch. These battle-hardened warriors of Sigmar are dangerous opponents for Skaven and Nighthaunt alike. However, Games Workshop has something new in store for fans, the even deadlier Stormcast Eternals Reclusians.
Who are the Reclusians?
So who are these new warriors of Sigmar you may ask? As you may already know, Stormcast Eternals are immortal. If they are vanquished on the battlefield the God-king Sigmar simply reforges them to continue the fight, retaining their experience and skill. However, each time they do so they lose a little of their humanity.
Stormcast Eternals Reclusians are those that have gone through many, many reforgings over the centuries. The gift of immortality then becomes a curse instead. Only a handful of reforgings away from losing themselves completely, the Reclusians are unflinching in battle. Yet they have forgotten their old friends and blood relations, their place of origin, and even their own battle-scarred histories.
Sealed away in the Ruination Chamber, Sigmar has now re-opened it.
Stormcast Eternals Reclusians Abilities
Currently, little is known about how the Reclusians will operate in the new Age of Sigmar battles. Just like the regular Stormcast Eternals battleline, they’ll be melee combatants, wielding mighty shields and rune-blessed weapons. They also look impressive in the finest thunderstrike armour.
But they may also have some supernatural abilities thanks to the countless reforging. “Some may have strange supernatural phenomena manifesting around them, [or] speak with voices of thunder,” says GW.
So expect them to pack quite a wallop when they finally arrive.
New Age of Sigmar
Over the past few weeks Games Workshop has been gradually ramping up the Age of Sigmar 4.0 announcements. Prior to the Stormcast Eternals Reclusians, we’ve had new details for Warhammer’s Skaven, how to build a new AoS army, and how the Priority Roll is changing.
