The Farm 51 has announced that the next-gen console version of Chernobylite will be released on 21st April, 2022. This date also marks the release of the PC Enhanced Edition and the Blue Flames DLC. Additionally, a physical edition of Chernobylite for PlayStation 5 will be published by Perp Games.
Chernobylite Next-Gen Upgrade
Players who already own Chernobylite will be able to upgrade to the new version or the PC Enhanced Edition for free. This will be done via free updates. Both updates will introduce ray-tracing and will improve the game’s visuals, according to The Farm 51. The next-gen versions specifically will also add two new graphic profiles: 4K (Dynamic) 30 FPS and 1080p (Ultra Details) 60 FPS. The PlayStation 5 update will additionally add features for DualSense Controllers, such as advanced vibrations and adaptive triggers, as well as compatibility with PlayStation’s Activity Card feature.
Based on Chernobylite’s content roadmap (see below), players can expect continuous game enhancements and more content updates throughout the year.

Blue Flames DLC
The Blue Flames DLC will be released for all platforms. This is the first of four scheduled content drops for 2022, as can be seen in the roadmap above. Blue Flames will offer a free content update, ‘Memories of You’; a new weapon, the Silent Assassin crossbow (pictured below); and a paid content pack.
With ‘Memories of You’, players will learn more about Tatyana and Igor’s fateful backstory through new events and collectible.
Chernobylite is currently available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The next-gen upgrade will bring the game brand new visuals for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on 21st April, 2022.
