At Sony Interactive Entertainment’s recent State of Play broadcast, a new compilation was revealed. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) were said to be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in full force later this year. However, it has now been confirmed that The Cowabunga Collection will launch on multiple console formats.
The Cowabunga Collection looks set to be a very generous package. All western releases on 8-bit and 16-bit consoles, as well as their Japanese versions, and the TMNT Arcade games will be includes. In total that’s 13 console and arcade games and their regional versions. Sweet.

Digital Eclipse, the studio behind numerous retro revivals including Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King and Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection, will be bringing the games to modern consoles. In addition, a number of quality-of-life features will be added. Confirmed so far are Rewind and Save Anytime functions.
