What’s better than a typical strategy game? A vampire strategy game. That’s what developer Palindrome Interactive is aiming for at least, with the upcoming launch of Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars.

A turn-based strategy game, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars tasks players with not only engaging in vampiric warfare but also building a vampire empire. Ire.

As players build their armies, they will discover the secrets of Nemire. Spread across 12 missions and four unique environments, the player will take on the roles of four mighty vampire lords each with their own goals and agendas.

In addition to the main campaign, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars will also include an open-world Sandbox and the hard-fought Skirmish mode.

Ahead of the game’s release publisher Kalypso Media is running a series of ‘developer featurettes’ revealing more about the game. The second part of the series can be seen below. If you missed the first featurette, it’s available now via the Kalypso Media YouTube channel.

This second video explores the game’s unique fusion of empire management and strategic turn-based combat, detailing some of the structures and units available to each of the game’s three vampire clans. The featurette also discusses those abilities unique to each clan, and some of the tactics players can use to strengthen their chance of victory on the battlefield.

In addition to the above video, Kalypso Media has also revealed a development roadmap. The image below details the events that have taken place during the game’s development. Also included are those set to be actioned in the run-up to launch.

Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars roadmap
