The MX vs ATV Legends release date was originally set for May 2022. However, it appears there has been a slight delay. Publisher THQ Nordic has announced a new release date of 28th June, 2022. The delay affects all formats.
The next installment in the MX vs ATV franchise, MX vs ATV Legends is in development for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as PC. The game promises to deliver the deepest career mode in franchise history, in addition to introducing the all-new Trails Mode. MX vs ATV Legends invites competitors to carve their own path to the podium with unprecedented player choice including sponsorship opportunities and special invitational events.
Speaking to the delay, THQ Nordic offered the following from Lenore Gilbert, CEO of development studio Rainbow Studios:
“Game delays are never fun for the developers, or players. In our case we needed to choose between speed or quality, and the decision was simple. We want to make sure that when MX vs ATV Legends comes out, it is the highest level of quality that Rainbow Studios can offer. Our art team making sure that frame rate is high and stable by making tons of passes in all of the environments.”
