The popular Evil Dead: The Game is a fantastic multiplayer experience. But that’s not all there is to it! Included are a small selection of single-player missions. These can be tough however, so you may well need some help. Here’s a guide on how to beat It’s Not Gonna Let Us Go!, the fourth mission in the game.
Completing It’s Not Gonna Let Us Go! will unlock a new Survivor for the multiplayer gameplay: Ash Vs. Evil Dead‘s Pablo Simon Bolivar. Pablo is a support class character, and will be a great addition to your teams. Check out our Evil Dead: The Game review for details on the different classes, or read on for details on how to beat It’s Not Gonna Let Us Go!.

How to Beat It’s Not Gonna Let Us Go!
This mission is probably a shade easier than the previous one, Kill ‘Em All. The key element for how to beat It’s Not Gonna Let Us Go! is the Amulet. It effectively introduces a new stealth mechanic. However, it’s not particularly well explained. Read on for more details.
Search the House
When you begin the mission you’ll be told to get in the car. However, go into the house instead and collect all the resources dotted around. These will include two sets of matches, a Shemp’s Cola, and the Amulet. There’s also several choices of common ranged weapons. The revolver in the upstairs kitchen is probably your best bet for this mission.
Kill the Deadites at Camp Green Bird
Drive the car just up the road to the destination marker. Park a safe distance away before approaching. You’ll be swarmed by basic enemies. Kill as many as you can from range, making sure to avoid the explosions when they die. Upon victory, collect the ammo nearby and move on after the brief cutscene.
Drive to El Brujo’s Hut
You’ll want to drive to El Brujo’s Hut pretty cautiously. The car will almost certainly be destroyed at some point in this mission, but you’ll want to keep it as long as possible. If you hit a deadite on the road you’ll break down, so avoid all enemies and obstacles if possible.
There’s five basic enemies to kill once you reach the El Brujo’s Hut. However, the area around it is swarming with undead so you’ll probably have to kill a lot more than that. Keep your flashlight on during these fights as the darkness and weather can make it easy to lose track of enemies. They’ll drop a common meat cleaver at the end, but don’t worry about it too much: you’re about to get a far superior weapon.
Obtain El Brujo’s Amulet
After killing the deadites, grab El Brujo’s Amulet from inside the El Brujo’s Hut. This basically gives you a permanent stealth power. For the rest of the mission, Pablo won’t be noticed by Deadites unless he gets too close and stands in their sightline. However, it’s not effective if you sprint, turn on your torch, attack or makes noise. If an enemy sees Pablo, all enemies in the local area will immediately know your location and come to kill him.
Technically, it is possible to complete the mission without really using this power, but enemies are all over the map. Head to the Railway Loop building the game marks and sneak around the few deadites in there. Grab the Rare Machete on the lower floor.
Find Ash’s Severed Hand at Railway Loop
The next part of the mission requires you to get Ash’s severed hand from another building in Railway Loop. Use stealth to evade the deadites in the wild as much as possible and grab the hand inside, along with another Shemp’s Cola. The hand will escapes in a cutscene, so you have to go get it again from a marked house in Dead End.
Whatever direction you approach the house from, a Demi-Eligos sees through your stealth and prompts a mini-boss fight at the Dead End house. There’s also a trap on the house’s door that spawns a basic deadite.
Inside the house you can find a wide range of common weapons, Amulets, Shemp’s Cola and ammunition. Stock up, and swap your revolver for the shotgun. When you’re ready, grab the hand and follow the new destination marker.
Head to Jake’s Gas n’ Go
The next stop is at Jake’s Gas n’ Go. There’s a deadite standing in every doorway, with the exception of the east door. Head inside to find Ash. He’s injured, but has another Amulet next to him. The task now is to get enough gasoline for an escape.
Find the Gas Tank at Wadesboro Junkyard
This is probably the hardest part of the mission. Wadesboro Junkyard is full of enemies and one screw-up means fighting all of them. Turn off your torch and don’t sprint. Go in through the south entrance and follow the fence right.
To the right of the illuminated bathroom is a small ramp leaning against an industrial pipe. Walk up it and immediately go into the building. Look outside to the West and you’ll see a gap between shipping containers with a deadite standing in it. You want to take the smaller gap just north of it. Head in there, then turn right and keep going straight. The gas can is ahead of you, along with a Shemp’s Cola.
Either retrace your steps to escape, or take the simpler, less reliable route by hugging the West wall back to the southern entrance where you came in.
Find the Two Gas Tanks at Shockley Auto
Head to Shockley Auto next. There’s two gas tanks here, in separate locations. One is upstairs in a safe building filled with ammunition. Make sure you collect it all. The next gas tank is in an open courtyard that seems safe until you grab it, when an Eligos boss appears.
Kill the Eligos Boss
This is the last big challenge in the mission. This demon teleports, and fires ranged attacks after each teleport. It also occasionally appears close to you to do a big melee strike. Use your ranged weapon for a couple of headshots after each ranged attack he does, and duck his melee swipes before countering with heavy strikes.
Head Back to Ash
Now you have the gas head back to Jake’s Gas n’ Go and find Ash. He’ll have dragged himself to his car. Get in and you can drive yourself to the marked exit. You’re now being chased by a ‘drafter’ demon, but in all honesty this part of the mission seems rather easy. Once you arrive at the destination marker, the mission will be completed.
