Curve Games has announced that their block-building party game Block’Em is launching next month on Steam. Created by Swedish studio Cat Shawl Games, the game is also in development for consoles. However, no specific release date has yet confirmed for these editions.

Billed as an exciting mix of platform and puzzle gaming, Block’Em is an action-filled block-building party game for two to four players. The controls are simple but the gameplay is demanding. Players must be the first to reach the goal or be the last Blocky standing.

“We’re so excited to be launching Block’Em this September. Block’Em is fast-paced, cute and with its competitive edge, promises to push friendships to the brink! We can’t wait for players to get down to challenging each other with our game this summer,” said Rasmus Östlund, Cat Shawl Games’ Studio Lead.

Block’Em can be played either online or in local co-op modes. The game is designed to be an exciting mix of puzzle and platforming gameplay, as players attempt to make their way through chaotic arenas. The game will be available for £7.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 on Steam from 8th September, 2022. PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions are also coming, though no specific date has yet been confirmed.

Block’Em will be Cat Shawl Games’ debut PC release. The studio, formerly known as Wimasima, is based in Sweden. Curve Games has a lengthy history in videogame publishing, with recent hits including the likes of The Ascent, Human Fall Flat and EMBR.
