Hype is building for Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle. Along with the recent release of a Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle demo, we now have a launch date. Publisher GS2 Games has set the release date for Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle on all formats for this summer.
Developed by Italian team Invader Studios, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle cast players as special agent Dalila Reyes. Reyes is a former government spy, now in the service of the Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search (H.A.D.E.S.) unit. Reyes’ mission seems simple. Enter the most advanced experimental research centre in the United States of America. But who knows what dangers await her? Well, players of the demo might have a clue…
Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle combines combat and puzzle solving. Thanks to a device installed on Reyes’ arm, you can analyze portions of the environment and reveal new puzzles to solve, pick up secret documents and detect hidden items.
The Daymare Series
Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is the sequel to the popular Daymare 1998. The original title actually begun as a fan remake of Resident Evil 2. However, following a request from Capcom to cease production, Invader Studios tool the lessons learned and adapted it into an original IP. Daymare 1998 launched in 2020, and is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
This new title takes place before Daymare 1998. As such, players familiar with the first title will learn about the past of the cast of characters. The Daymare series is very definitely targetting the core Resident Evil fanbase. As such, further establishing it’s characters will surely be welcomed by fans of the first game. Just no rock punching, OK?
Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle Release Date
The highly anticipated survival horror game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The game will launch on all formats on 30th August, 2023. Both digital and psychical editions are to be launched simultaneously.
