The numerous Side Quests in Dead Island 2 can keep you occupied for quite some time. Once you have completed the Kwon with the Wind Story Quest, a new Side Quest will become immediately available. This Dead Island 2 The Rav-Ages of Caustic-X Guide will tell you everything you need to know to complete that subsequent Sie Quest.
A VCLA student has gone rogue. You’ll be heading to the Halperin Hotel and helping Rav escape. All while mashing zombies, naturally. Succeed, and you’ll receive some nifty new rewards.
Dead Island 2 The Rav-Ages of Caustic-X Guide
After completing the Kwon With the Wind Story Quest in Monarch Studios, interact with the radio outside of the Outside Stage. It will be Hana on the other end. She’ll tell you that her friend from VCLA, Rav, has gone missing. She insists that he is alive. So it’s up to you to find him.
Head to the Halprin Hotel to search for Rav. As you approach the front entrance, you will intercept a radio signal from the man himself.
Rav is conducting some experiments, so will have some missions for you himself.
Find the Ambulance in the Halprin Hotel Parking Lot
Head to the first parking lot. This is located by the entrance to the Halperin Hotel, off Seabrook Avenue.
As you approach the ambulance in the first parking lot, you will find that the Ambulance Driver has turned into a Slobber. And there’s an EMT that has transformed into a Crusher.
Once both the Crusher and Slobber are dead, you can look for the military notes. A clipboard sits on a container across a puddle of caustic-x. To reach it, you will need to remove the puddle. You can find water jerrycans inside the truck to the left of the ambulance. Pour the water out and wait for it to wash away the caustic-x. Once the puddle is gone you can pick up the Caustic-X Shipment Receipt.
Return to the Ballroom
Return to Rav in the Halprin Hotel’s Ballroom. The next challenge is essential and endurance battle. You will soon have hordes of zombies pouring into the ballroom. Kill them all. No surprises here.
Once you’ve eliminated all the nasties, return to Rav for the next assignment.
Head to the Halperin Hotel Swimming Pool
Make your way out of the ballroom via the window on the left of the stage. Turn left and head towards the patio on the right. Walk down the corridor filled with body bags and descend the stairs to the swimming pool. Plenty of zombies have gathered here.
The objective is to kill zombies by knocking them into the pool. You can use the Meat Bait Curveball to lure them in, and also dropkick them to send them flying in.
Amongst the hordes will be some Firefighter Walkers. These zombies are immune to caustic damage, so just kill them anyway you can to remove them from the situation.
Kill a total of 14 zombies using the caustic fluid in this area to complete this objective.
Return to Rav in the ballroom
Make your way back into the Halperin Hotel ballroom and talk to Rav again. Rav will offer you an interesting reward.
