Dead Island 2 Boz Makes a Bang Guide

After completing the The Rav-Ages of Caustic-X Side Quest in Dead Island 2, Hana will request your help again. This time, she wants you to find Boz. Boz is another VCLA student, and he’s headed to Monarch Studios in search for some pyrotechnics. This Dead Island 2 Boz Makes a Bang Guide will tell you everything you need to know to complete this Side Quest.

You’ll receive the quest from a radio at the Serling Hotel on Ocean Avenue. You’ll need to head to Monarch Studios in Venice Beach to find Boz. Of course, when you arrive, he’ll have some objectives for you to complete, too.

Look for Boz at Sound Stage 5

Once you’ve arrived at Monarch Studios, you’ll want to head to Sound Stage 5. This is just across from Sound Stage 3, along Sinclair Street.

Once you find Boz, you’ll see a unique film set. A military trench. Of course, it’s now filled with zombies. Take care of the undead, and then speak with Boz. He’s on the catwalk above the sound stage, on the side of the room with green screen scaffolding.

This whole sound stage is rigged with explosives. If used correctly, this can make easy work of the upcoming endurance bout.

Defeat the Zombie Waves

Head up to the sandbags at the back of the room. You will find three control panels on the stage at the back. These control the mortars: the left mortar, explosive belt (center), and right mortar. Zombies will come into the sound stage the same way you did. I.e. straight towards you. You essentially have an explosive firing range. You’ll quickly learn which area each mortar effects, and can use this to your advantage. However, each time you use a mortar, you will have to wait for them to reset.

Each wave of zombies that approach the sound stage will grow progressively more difficult, from Grenadier Walkers, a Crusher, and even Putrefied Slobbers. Still, given your armaments, it should be relatively easy.

Return to Boz

That was a pretty simple Side Quest, eh? Once all the zombies have been eliminated, head back across the set to Boz. He’ll reward you with a powerful explosive weapon in return for your help.
