Superman: Legacy Cast

Beating the likes of Nicholas Hoult, Tom Brittney, Phoebe Dynevor and Emma Mackey. Corenswet and Brosnahan have landed the iconic roles of Superman/Clark Kent and The Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane.

Known for his TV roles in series like House of Cards, Elementary and Hollywood, Corenswet’s most recent film works include 2019’s The Politician. Playing Superman will be his first major studio project, and he has some big shoes to fill. Taking over the reins from Henry Cavill, Corenswet will likely star in the role multiple times over the coming years as the DC Universe is sown.

As for Brosnahan, her recent roles include The Courier, Dead for a Dollar and I’m Your Woman. She’s best known for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – in which she played the lead role. Securing a Primetime Emmy Award in 2018 and two consecutive Golden Globe Awards.

With the two main roles now confirmed the hunt is still on for characters such as Lex Luthor and The Authority supergroup. Hoult has previously been mentioned in the Luthor role, so he could still make an appearance in the movie. With Gunn planning to film Superman: Legacy in 2024, there’s still plenty of time to get the villain right.

Superman: Legacy is scheduled to hit theatres on 11th July 2025.
