The end is in sight for those eager to learn more about Age of Sigmar’s new Cities of Sigmar range. Games Workshop has been drastically overhauling Warhammer’s Cities of Sigmar army, bringing in new models and dispensing with older variants like Freeguild General on Foot. Now the final Cities of Sigmar miniatures have been revealed.

Pontifex Zenestra, Matriarch of the Great Wheel

First up we have the Pontifex Zenestra, Matriarch of the Great Wheel miniature. Zenestra is allegedly a great-grandmother at the dawn of the Age of Sigmar. Held aloft on her throne by acolytes, the accompanying skeleton sat behind her bear scars that mirror her own.

As the devoted warriors carry her across the battlefield a great sparkling halo of heavenly force lashes out at her enemies.

Ironweld Great Cannon Warhammer

Ironweld Great Cannon

All great armies need the ability to pummel foes from a distance. The armies of Sigmar deploy the Ironweld Great Cannon with ferocious effect. An artillery piece that balances reload speed and raw, destructive firepower, the Iron Great Cannon employs a crew of two, protected by a huge wing-shield.

Iron Great Cannon projectiles are able to shred countless units or incinerate them instead.

Freeguild Command Corps

We’ve already covered the Freeguild Marshals coming to Age of Sigmar. Accompanying them are the Freeguild Command Corps, battlefield aids with their own unique abilities.

Banner in hand, Great Heralds are accompanied by Mascot Gargoylians. Whilst War Surgeons heal the wounded and Soul Shepherds and their Corpus Somni pipers guard the souls of those who cannot be saved.

Instilling discipline in the ranks through fear, paranoia, and sharp knives are the Whisperblades, and the Arch-Knights protect their Marshals.

Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal

Finally, the Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal rides into battle atop a mighty steed. Able to smash through enemy ranks, the horses also carry valuable assets for battle such as cartographical equipment and healing tools.

All of these units and more are featured in the new Battletome: Cities of Sigmar. 160-pages of lore, battle rules and character abilities. There will also be a new Cities of Sigmar Army Set coming soon.
