With Spider-Man 2 soon to hit PlayStation 5, the original Spider-Man is undergoing something of a resurgence. Players eagerly anticipating the sequel are returning to the original, practicing their web-slinging skills to be ready for day one. If you’re one of these players and missed some of the Spider-Man suits first time around, this guide will tell you how to unlock every single one.
In Spider-Man for PlayStation 4, there are 25 standard Spider-Man suits to unlock. There are also three hidden ones, which become available once you reach specific parts of the story. That totals 28 Spider-Man suits. There are additional suits added in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but for this guide we’ll be concentrating on how to unlock all Spider-Man Suits in the original release.

Most of the Spider-Man suits in Spider-Man are unlocked through standard levelling-up. However, some require you to fulfill some specific tasks or reach certain parts of the story. Below you’ll find a chart depicting every Spider-Man suit and the requirements for how to unlock them. Caution is advised however, as there may be a couple of spoilers for the story.

How to Unlock and Use Suit Powers
It’s worth noting that most of the Spider-Man suits unlock a new ability. However, once unlocked this ability is not tied to the specific suit. Once you unlock a suit, its ability is unlocked too. You can mix and match your unlocked suits and abilities however you see fit.
If you read through the list above and noticed that certain objectives – particularly towards the latter end of the list – haven’t become available to you yet, just keep playing through main story missions and you’ll unlock them fairly quickly, as you did with things like collectible backpacks.
