Even in the darkest reaches of the Imperium, there are rays of light and festivities to be had. And that’s certainly the case this season with Games Workshop unveiling six festive Warhammer 40K boxsets.
Games Workshop releases these bundles each year so it’s no surprise that these have appeared. The boxes are packed with models and tend to offer a great saving over purchasing units individually. Pre-orders have yet to begin and there’s no price just yet. But you can still see what’s in each set below.
Christmas Warhammer 40K boxsets
First on the list are Leagues of Votann – Defenders of the Ancestors. This set is comprised of 10 Einhyr Hearthguard led by an Einhyr Champion. A heavily-armed Hekaton Land Fortress, backed up by a Grimnyr living ancestor while a Sagitaur provides mobile fire support.
If you prefer the destruction of the Orks then there’s the Beast Snagga Stampede. This band of Orks are led by Mozrog Skragbad – who can be built as a standard Beastboss on Squigosaur. Next you have three Squighog Boyz and a Nob on Smasha Squig. They’re joined by a Painboss medic and a mob of 10 Beast Snagga Boyz, alongside a psyker-strapped Kill Rig.
Astra Militarum fans are treated to the Cadian Defence Force. This set is packed with 27 miniatures, 20 Cadian Shock Troops and a five-model Cadian Command Squad. These are supported by two mighty Rogal Dorn battle tanks.
And more boxed sets…
You have to have the Space Marines in there with the Spearhead Force. This boxed set has 15 of the new Jump Pack Intercessors, led by a Captain with Jump Pack. Back them up, the box also includes a squad of three Outriders and an Invader ATV.
Supporting the realms of Chaos is the World Eaters – Exalted of the Red Angel. With Angron, Daemon Primarch of Khorne at the centre his most devoted warriors include 10 Khorne Berzerkers and six Exalted Eightbound – who can alternatively be built as Eightbound.
Lastly, there is the Tyranid – Onslaught Swarm. The biggest set features 34 miniatures, inside the box is a massive Norn Emissary and a Winged Hive Tyrant – which can also be built as a ground-bound Hive Tyrant or Swarmlord. Filling out the Tyranid mass are 20 scything Hormagaunts, 10 ravening Genestealers, and a pair of Ripper Swarms.
