Square Enix is going old school with promoting Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Following the release of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Video: The Story So Far… last week, we now have a huge swathe of new screenshots. Showcasing elements of combat and new enemy models, these new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth screenshots will undoubtedly get long-time fans hyped.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a new, standalone adventure. In the game, our heroes Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII have escaped from the dystopian city of Midgar. Together, they now venture out into the wide world beyond. Their mission is unchanged: to hunt down Sephiroth, a fallen hero and vengeful swordsman from Cloud’s past. However, they now meet new companions. The spirited ninja operative Yuffie and the wisecracking, feline-shaped robot Cait Sith join their quest.
Next year, players will lead these characters into battle and use powerful synergy abilities to overcome their fates. Many of these are hinted at in the new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth screenshots below.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Screenshots
The new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth screenshots explore the peaceful town of Kalm and the abandoned Mythril Mine. They also debut the summon Kujata, the combat abilities and Synergy Skills of various party members, the Chocoboutique, side characters and much more.
Slightly less exciting, a couple of the new screenshots show the menu. As was previously revealed, Active and Classic modes return from Final Fantasy VII Remake, allowing players to choose their battle style. Will you go with fast-paced thrills or more methodical decision-making? There’s also three difficulty settings, including Easy, Normal and the new Dynamic setting.
