Welcome to Chit Hot’s walkthrough guide for Resident Evil Village. This page contains information on the final boss battle of the game, as you take on Mother Miranda. This walkthrough guide includes information on secrets, treasures, and collectibles you can find in the Resident Evil Village Mother Miranda boss fight.
After making your way through the titular Village one last time, you’ll arrive at the Altar site. Here, you’ll have one final chance to speak with The Duke. This is your last chance to sell all your treasure, make any food, and buy all the upgrades you can. Anything you don’t sell or finish upgrading will carry over to your next file after completing the game.
Grab some supplies from the a crate near The Duke before heading out. Take the path of the Lone Road to the Ceremony Site. A few enemies may drop down, but there’s no real challenge here. Continue until you reach the black mass, and push it aside to enter.
Resident Evil Village Walkthrough Guide – Mother Miranda Boss Fight
Unlike most of the other boss battles in Resident Evil Village, there’s no gimmick to defeating Mother Miranda. No obvious glowing weak points or armour. No mini-tanks or unique stunning tactics. It’s just you and the boss. Unload everything you’ve got, and she’ll go down eventually.
That said, the Mother Miranda boss fight isn’t easy. She will shift between three different forms over the course of the fight. Bipedal form, spider form, and winged form.
Mother Miranda Bipedal Form Guide
On the ground she’ll move around the arena with short dashes and try to swipe you with her wings. Keep strafing around the arena so you don’t give her any direct hits and just keep unloading your ammo into her. Start with your bigger, slower guns. The later forms are much quicker and harder to get hip-fire accurate enough.
Don’t allow her to get too close, as she’ll use a spin attack to follow-up her lunges. She can also summon spiky tendrils, so keep an eye on her movements as they usually erupt in a line in front of her.
Mother Miranda Spider Form Guide
When Mother Miranda shifts into a spider-like form she’ll use her legs to jab at you while moving forward. This is followed up with an even bigger lunge that will once again require some quick strafing and dodging.
If she decides to jump onto a nearby ledge, she’ll mimic Urias’ jump attack, so sprint in another direction to avoid it, then pivot and open fire.
Mother Miranda Winged Form Guide
When Mother Miranda takes to the air she has an arsenal of a few different swooping attacks, so it can be hard to predict what she’ll do next. However, it can get far worse than that.
As she flies around, blobs of Megamycete will form around her. They’ll start to glow yellow before bursting, and dealing a lot of damage. Eliminate these with automatic rounds as soon as you spot them. They may also drop ammo if you’re lucky.
The Final Challenge
When Mother Miranda moves to the middle and flies up asking for the Megamycete’s power, she’ll form a huge blob above her. Snipe it out of the sky and it will explode onto her, knocking her into the ground.
This will be followed by Mother Miranda casting darkness over the arena and vanishing. She’ll jump out without warning and rapidly move towards you. Keep strafing around the arena and turn as you do to shoot as she lunges past you.
When she takes to the air again she will summon several tendrils with an explosive mass in the middle. Use the roots as cover and evade the fire from the middle. Eventually, she tries to cover you in the Megamycete, holding you in place while she summons a giant blob above you. Since you can’t move, fire upon her with every weapon that still has ammo in it.
Resident Evil Village Conclusion
Rose will now be safe. However, your victory is not without cost. The story will now come to its close, and the Megamycete will be detonated, ensuring its power will never be abused again.
Once the credits have rolled you’ll be able to save your clear file. From here, you can begin New Game+ with all of your weapons, ammo, treasure and money intact for a new run. You’ll also unlock Challenges, which will let you unlock the Mercenaries mode, as well as new weapons and cheats like infinite ammo. There’s also the Resident Evil Village DLC to consider, but we’ll save that for another day!
