Last week SEGA released Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the latest in its long-running series (formerly called Yakuza). Available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and PC, SEGA announced that one million copies have already been sold.
That figure comes from the total number of physical units shipped to retailers and downloadable units sold to consumers, across all supported platforms.
And to celebrate the one million milestone in only seven days, SEGA has a special bonus planned for players. A free in-game ‘Celebratory T-shirt’ set for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be released at a later date. No details just yet on what the set will look like or how many cosmetic items it’ll contain.
Like a Dragon Success
Moving from Japan to Hawaii, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth features two protagonists this time around. The beloved character Ichiban Kasuga is a man who rises from rock bottom once again. Whilst Kazuma Kiryu faces one final battle as he enters his twilight years.
In this Pacific adventure, players are thrown into an emotional drama captivating characters, fun mini-games, and strategic battles. The game features a new Live Command RPG Battle system which players should find makes combat more strategic and dynamic. As players explore Honolulu City – the largest map in the series – they can start new jobs and enjoy enhanced customization and training elements.
Changing into a new job like Samurai, Geodancer, Desperado and others, will unlock new moves and abilities in battles. Or you can always summon a ‘Poundmate’ to help you during more intense fights.
Kasuga and Kiryu can even set up dating profiles to find their perfect match in Hawaii.
