What is the best place to work? It’s Monday morning. Work from home has ended, and you’ve just suffered that commute to get into the office on time. You fought with the wind and the rain (and maybe a light hangover) to get in on time, and what did you find? A very unappreciative boss who didn’t care about your weekend activities. Maybe it’s time to look for something else?
Best Places to Work
What you have chosen to do in your career is personal to you. We wouldn’t dream of recommending an athlete take an office job, nor should an accountant become a movie director. At least, not without a thorough personal assessment of the move. However, whatever your profession, you may find there is somewhere else to perform your duties that is more appealing than your current work environment. And that’s exactly what the latest research from Glassdoor presents.
Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Awards, an annual ranking, is based on anonymous feedback via a company review about their job, work environment, and employer over the past year. From that survey, each workplace is given a number from one to five, and those numbers totalled into a ranking. Last year, Salesforce topped the list, followed by Microsoft, then Abcam. This year however, there’s been a significant reshuffle.
2022 Top List

Immediate Media Company, Abcam McKinsey & Company, and Adobe round out that top 7 best places to work in the UK. As promised by the title of this article!
The full list includes the top 50 companies in the UK. The trend this year is for tech companies, making up 19 spots on the list.
