Canberra-based independent developer, Uppercut Games, has announced that Submerged: Hidden Depths will be launching next month. The game will arrive simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on 10th March, 2022.

Set in a city gripped by a dark mystery, Submerged: Hidden Depths is an adventure exploration game. Players will climb the ruins of lost skyscrapers to uncover the tale of the sunken city. Protagonists Miku and Taku have their own history with the darkness. Whilst one wants to use it for good, the other fears it will tear them apart.

The team at Uppercut Games has aimed to craft a balance between tension and relaxation. This gives players the freedom to explore at their own pace. Players are invited to take their time and thoroughly explore this combat-free title.

“Our team has grown and learnt so much since creating Submerged, and then again when we started Submerged: Hidden Depths, so it’s great to be able to show the difference that learning has made to the game. Our vision stayed true, as has our desire to create that relaxing experience for players, but the quality and depth of our work has soared.”.

Ed Orman, Co-founder of Uppercut Games

Within the vast outdoor environments players will find a variety of puzzles. These will task them with climbing, sailing and using abandoned machinery to solves unique challenges. As they attempt to reveal the city’s mystery, players can cruise through the streets in a powered boat taking in the city sights at their own pace, or looking to discover hidden secrets and creatures.

Submerged: Hidden Depths brings its mysteries to new consoles for the first time with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. These editions join PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which saw release of the original Submerged.

The official soundtrack for the game is available now. Are you going to take the plunge with Submerged: Hidden Depths next month? Let us know in the comments below!
