A free Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo is now available from Nintendo eShop. Ahead of the game’s launch on Nintendo Switch later this month, Kirby fans can explore Natural Plains either solo or with a friend, and get a taste of Kirby’s new 3D adventure.
In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, players will visit a new world, discover new abilities and battle beasts. Players will discover many different regions, each with multiple levels and objectives to complete. In traditional Kirby fashion; explore by running, jumping and climbing, then inhale enemies to either copy their abilities or spit them back out as projectiles against others.
The story of Kirby and the Forgotten Land begins when a strange vortex appears in the sky over Planet Popstar, sucking in everything around it, including Kirby. Waking up in an abandoned world where civilisation and nature have become one, Kirby finds the Waddle Dees have been captured by a gang known as the Beast Pack. Now, with his new friend Elfilin by his side, Kirby sets off on an adventure to rescue the Waddle Dees and return home.
Many of Kirby’s famous Copy Abilities are back, along with some new ones. By inhaling certain enemies and gulping them down, you can mimic their abilities. Use them to take down the opposition, find hidden treasure and secrets too. As you progress, you can upgrade your skills with evolved Copy Abilities. Use them to take the fight to the Beast Pack with powerful attacks.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land promises to deliver more intrigue for experienced gamers, too. Players must hunt high and low for hidden areas and treasures, as well as secret objectives. Local co-op multiplayer will see Bandana Waddle Dee joins the action with his trusty spear.
The game is set to launch on 25th March, 2022. The Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo is available to download now. Head to the Nintendo e-Shop and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
