LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Tops the UK Charts

This week’s UK sales charts, compiled by GFK, put the recently released LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in pole position. Bolstered by school holidays, the latest entry in the LEGO Star Wars franchise has been met with both critical acclaim and respectable sales. The tail for the game is likely to be very long, given all of the unlockable characters featured within.

The charts also see Gran Turismo 7 regaining some ground. This is despite the ongoing debate surrounding the game’s aggressive microtransaction strategy. Another PlayStation exclusive, Horizon Forbidden West also shows strong signs of growth.

Nintendo is once again a top tier performer. Pokémon Legends: Arceus remains in the top five. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe slips a little, but is still seeing remarkable sales for a five-year-old re-release. Kirby and the Forgotten Land also continues to perform well.

Elden Ring remains in the top 10, however continues to slide down the charts. Given that the game boasted the fastest sales of any Souls title to date it’s unlikely that FromSoftware will be disappointed with this news.

Rounding out the top 10 are two evergreen titles. Grand Theft Auto V‘s continued sales streak comes as no surprise. Especially given the recently released PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S editions. And we’re back with Nintendo for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, still performing after two years on sale.
