In our modern digital era, release times are the new release dates. We’ve known for a long time that Redfall will launch on 2nd May, 2023. However, we now also have the global release times for Redfall, courtesy of publisher Bethesda.
Redfall is set on an island of the same name. A ‘dead island’, if you will. Pun intended.
On this island, a group of scientists have been working on ground-breaking technology. At the same time, people are going missing. There’re dead bodies and blood everywhere. And now, vampires rule the town.
Players form a team of underdogs. Some of the last humans still alive on the island, and seriously outnumbered. You must fight back against the shadowy vampire threat and the cultists that follow them.
There are a number of playable characters in the game. Layla, a telekinetic biomedical engineering student; Remi, the combat and robotics expert; Jacob, a sharpshooter with a strange glowing eye; or Devinder, the cryptozoologist inventor.
What is the Redfall Release Time?
As stated above, Redfall will launch on 2nd May, 2023. Much like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor‘s release times, the game will be available to play at the same moment no matter where you are in the world. Below are the local times for several regions.

Will Redfall be on Game Pass Day One?
As has been known for a long time, yes, Redfall will be available on Game Pass from day one. It will be available on both Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S consoles, as well as Game Pass for PC, for Windows PC gamers. There is also a physical edition available to purchase.
What are the Redfall Preload Options?
Game Pass subscribers can preload Redfall now. The option has been available for some time, but initially would just install a very small prompt file. That file has now been replaced with a full installation, ready for the upcoming full release of Redfall.
What is the Redfall File Size?
If you’re looking to preinstall, you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of harddisk space available. On Xbox Series X|S, Redfall can only be played from the internal storage or via an official storage expansion. It cannot be played from an external HDD.

How Long is the Redfall Campaign?
In an interview with Wccftech, Harvey Smith, Redfall Creative Director, stated that the campaign will take roughly 20 hours to complete. That’s pretty big, comparable to the size of Dead Island 2. And just like Deep Silver’s zombie buster, there are plenty of additional activities to suck away those hours.
Safe Houses, Nests and exploration of the world will take considerably longer. We don’t know how long the game will last for completionists, but current estimations are upwards of 30 hours.
