Disney has been teasing the upcoming Ahsoka series for several months now. Most recently confirming the August air date on Disney+. Fans excited for the next instalment in the Star Wars universe can now enjoy – and pick apart – the new Ahsoka trailer that’s just arrived.

Starring Rosario Dawson as the titular Ahsoka Tano, the story revolves around Tano trying to stop Grand Admiral Thrawn. To help in the fight she enlists the aid of Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). The series is set after the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

New action-filled Ahsoka trailer

As you’d expect from a Star Wars trailer, it’s filled to the brim with epic fight scenes and majestic vistas. In between all the action, the trailer gives a brief look at the strained master and apprentice relationship between Ahsoka and Wren. “Anakin never got to finish my training, I walked away from him just like I walked away from Sabine,” says Ahsoka.

David Filoni helms the new series, the creator of Ahsoka’s animated character as well as a director on The Mandalorian. He has once again teamed up with Jon Favreau for this spin-off series.

Alongside Dawson, Bordizzo and Winstead, the series also features the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll. Plus Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, David Tennant as Huyang and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger.

Check out the new Ahsoka trailer below ahead of the official Disney+ launch on 23rd August 2023. It’ll be a two-episode premiere.
